A warranty is a written guarantee given by the product producer to repair or replace a product or its part within a specified period. Most product manufacturers have one form of warranty, and Bose Corporation is not exempt.
In this article, I will discuss the Bose warranty, its type, is it a lifetime or limited warranty, and what steps you can take to claim your warranty. So, let’s get started!
So, Does Bose Have A Lifetime Warranty? No, currently, Bose does not offer a lifetime warranty for its products. It has a limited warranty which I will discuss later in this article.
So, if you purchase a bose product, you have just a limited timeframe to enjoy the warranty. After that period, you will need to pay for any repair or replacement.
How long does Bose’s warranty last?
There are two categories of Bose warranty. They are:
- A one-year warranty covers electronic products, speakers, power systems, and accessories.
- Five-year warranty; this is for passive non-powered speakers and loudspeakers.
Remember, the warranty starts counting from the day of purchase, and you can only claim a warranty on a product that was purchased new.
This means that if you purchase a used Bose product, you can’t claim the warranty since you are not the original buyer. However, suppose you can produce the original receipt or proof of purchase and the serial number packaging. In that case, you can inherit the warranty and use it so long as it is valid.

How do I claim my Bose warranty?
You can follow different means to claim a refund, repair, or replacement for your Bose products. They include:
Online
This should be your first resort when trying to claim your warranty. If you try calling, you may not have the patience to wait for the agent on the phone. For the online process, follow the following steps:
- Visit the Bose website and navigate to the support tab.
- Request for service and repair. You will be told to enter the serial number of the Bose Product.
- Start a return request for the Bose Produce by entering your order number and Zipcode.
There is a unique serial number and a 4-digit code for every Bose product. The serial number is usually a series of long numbers found beside the barcode.
If you lose your original packaging, you can retrieve the serial number from the Bose connect App if your Bose device is compatible with the App. All you need to do is navigate Settings and then Click Product Information to find the serial number.
The serial number or the 4-digit code is needed to create a service request for Bose Products under warranty.
Customer Service
Another option you can explore to claim your warranty on Bose devices is calling their customer support representative on the phone.
You will explain to them what the problem is to assist you. The phone line is available from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays from Monday to Friday and from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays.
- For reporting general issues about Bose products, you can reach them at replace+1 800 379 2073.
- If the problem or defect is specifically with Bose headphones, you can reach them on +1 800 761 2673.
- If your device is the Bose noise-canceling earbuds, you can reach them on +1 800 905 1273.
The only challenge with this method is that you may experience some waiting time before you get the opportunity to speak to a customer support representative.
Text or WhatsApp Messages
If you don’t want to go through the two methods above, you can send a text or a WhatsApp message to their customer service representative.
The process is quite simple. Send the word ‘BOSE’ to the number +1 508-614-630 1, and you will be linked to a customer support agent.
Similarly, you can explore the WhatsApp option, which is available from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. While you may experience some delay, you will surely get someone to reply to replace you in a matter of minutes.

Does Bose Have A Lifetime Warranty – Conclusion
Yes, you have read it all. Bose doesn’t have a lifetime warranty on any of its products. This shouldn’t come as a shock to you. Very few brands have a lifetime warranty on their product because having such a program will reduce their revenue from repairs and replacement of parts.
However, Bose has a limited warranty for one year or five years depending on the product. You can leverage this warranty to sort out your faulty bose devices so long as it is within the warranty period.
